Advice from Everyone about Everything began in the fall of 2024. Armed with Monica Electric—a 1970s Olympia typewriter—I set up shop at four different international printed matter events across three cities:
• Stur Bleiben, Berlin
• Wiels Art Book Fair, Brussels
• FLYLEAF FESTIVAL, Berlin
• Book launch, Pitzilein Books, Mexico City
At each stop, visitors were invited to share a piece of advice—any advice, on any topic, in any language. The result is this collection: a diverse, spontaneous archive of wisdom, humor, and insight from strangers across different places, backgrounds and ages.
The advice appears in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Polish, Flemish, and French. But with most translation apps, understanding is just a click away.
This isn’t just a book of advice—it’s a snapshot of what was on people’s minds in that moment, what they felt was important, and what wisdom they wanted to pass on. A collective time capsule of thought and perspective.
