interspazi

interspazi (interspaces) is a collection of landscapes that Patrizio Anastasi draws by selecting and synthesising the formal elements he traces, then making them re-emerge as symbols. The drawing is used as a cataloguing tool, which narrows down from a wide field to one or more details, to create a mnemonic archive of appearances. The abstraction that is returned by the plates is an alphabet of recognition and co-participation in the forms present in a given place, whether it manifests itself to the author in the middle of the countryside or among the hyper-urbanised streets of a city.
