Kurt Johannessen (f. 1960) gav ut sin fyrste artist’s book i 1984. I 1999 oppretta han sitt eige forlag, Zeth Forlag, som alle bøkene kjem ut på. Mange av hans bøker er tekstrelaterte, men nokre er laga med utgangspunkt i teikningar eller foto. Tekstarbeida er ofte fortellingar på ei setning. Dei er visuelle, poetiske, og til tider humoristiske. I 2013 starta han bokserien Om-noko. Det vart 19 bøker i serien og mange av dei var grunnlag for ulike performanceforedrag.
