Abhartach Magazine is a gathering of horror enthusiasts, providing a new platform for chilling tales, haunting poetry, grotesque artwork and in-depth reviews of books, games and film. Our aim is to curate a collection of the most terrifying and original content for our readers. ‘The First Harvest’ is the first issue of Abhartach Magazine, which dissects the folk horror sub-genre.

Featuring a variety of content, including but not limited to; interviews with top names in the horror industry, short stories inspired by Irish myths, personal essays on femininity and witchcraft, fairytale inspired poetry, essays on pop culture, historical and folkloric think pieces, book recommendations and artwork (digital illustrations, collages, comic strips, etc).
