The Press Press

The Press Press has focus on queer publications, it is run by visual artist Jo Ravn Abusland. FURU is their first artistbook, published in 2025.

The book revolves around legal rights, with stories of some 500 year old protected pine trees that are marked to be taken down, a chair made from the relics of the old city pine, and how the pine tree, in Kristiansand’s coat of armour, transitioned from a spruce to a pine.
The Press press has over the last years added a risograph and various old mimeographs to their printing studio situated in Kristiansand.
